An Irish Welcome

Céad Míle Fáilte friend and rover ...
Wherever you come from and whosoever you may be.
That's an Irish greeting and it means

you are welcome

Christ is in every poor man

"Care for the poor;
lighten everyone’s burden;
comfort the suffering."

I saw a stranger yestreen;
I put food in the eating place,
drink in the drinking place,

music in the listening place,
and in the name of the Triune
he blessed myself and my house,
my cattle and my dear ones, and the lark said in her song
often, goes the Christ in the stranger's guise.

- The Irish Rune of Hospitality

"It is in the name of Christ that I feed the poor,
for Christ is in the body of every poor man. -St. Brigid

Do what you can, for who you can, with what you have, and where you are.

The best gifts to give:

To your friend, loyalty;
To your enemy, forgiveness;
To your boss, service;
To a child, a good example;
To your parents, gratitude and devotion;
To your spouse, love and faithfulness;
To all men and women, charity;
and To God, your life.

…for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me....”
